Then you may want to check out Invoice Expert XE Lite. Although not all of the features offered are available in the Lite version, this freeware can help small companies manage lists of invoices and other company-related information.Invoice Experts' setup wizard allows you to establish tax settings as you set up your company, so the program automatically calculates taxes when adding invoices or products. Upon first glance, you're greeted with a cluttered but intuitive interface. Invoice Expert XE Lite appears overwhelming at first, but the icons are clearly labeled on the toolbar and divided into sections or lists such as Customers, Products, Vendors, and Invoices. The Help feature offers instructional videos online to help you navigate the program, but we found it fairly easy to choose a list and get started. The major drawback of the Lite version is that it includes buttons for features, such the ability to import customer or product information, that doesn't work unless you pay to upgrade to the Advanced version. You'll need to enter all information manually, but once you've set up the program, the process becomes a bit easier. When you choose a list, options to Add, Edit, or Delete items are displayed prominently to the right. We liked the ability to search our lists via quick pull-down menus for choosing search parameters. The ability to sort lists by any of the major fields was also a nice way to find the right invoice, customer, product, or other item. We found Invoice Expert XE Lite easy and straightforward to install and quick and painless to uninstall. The program is a bit overwhelming at first, but once you adjust to its numerous options, you can easily create and manage lists of customers, products, vendors, and invoices.
