The Lions bounced back from an opening defeat to edge Bangladesh and remain in FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 title contention as they kept their hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Bangladesh in Jakarta.
In a clash of nations that had lost their opening fixtures, it was a powerful first-half header from Harhys Stewart that secured maximum points for the Lions.
While Singapore’s title hopes remain alive, defeat here sees Bangladesh hanging by a thread, ahead of their group closer with Indonesia on 1 October.
